Family Assistance Update
May 2015
Ed Salinas:5-(14-15 – Forrest) Information from E.J. Smith that Ed is at Kelsey Spring being treated for gout. No other info available at this time.
John Gallemore –(5-8-15 – Forrest) We received a phone called from Terry (John’s wife) John has been battling Cancer and M/S for a long time and had the cancer pretty well under control a time or two but the M/S treatment has been dealing him much pain and problems. Terry stated that they just got information that the cancer has returned to his lung and is about one (1) centimeter in size. At this time they have decided “no more chemo” due to the negative reaction of the M/S to the chemo. John is in good spirits and his voice is much clearer and stronger today (5-15-15). Terry states that she contributes his attitude to the fact that John is such a devout Christian and please keep both John and Terry in your daily prayers.
Fred T. Eicholtz – (5-14-15- Forrest)Information from Charles Martel (Associate Member) that Fred had surgery pertaining to his Parkinson Disease. An update On Fred”s condition will be noted when obtained.
Update–(5-16-15 – Forrest) We called the home of Fred and Judy and she related on Tuesday May 12th Fred went into St Luke's Oquinn tower to have radio frequency ablation on his esophagus.  This procedure burns off pre cancerous cells on his esophagus hopefully to grow back normal cells.  It was determined at that time that Fred would have surgery to correct his hiatal hernia on June 22nd.  He is home and is doing fine.  Just keep him in your prayers also for his Parkinson's symptoms.

Bruce Music (5-11-15 rh) Bruce was transferred to TIRR in the Medical Center (329-A) where he  has received more extensive therapy during the last few weeks.  Mrs. Music said that Bruce may be sent home within the next week or two.  She said Bruce will be needing some hospital equipment and we advised that we would be able to provide it.  She also wanted to know if anyone knows of any ADA contractors. Apparently to do some remodeling in the bathroom. If any one has information, please contact her at 281-381-6367.

"Chuck" Smith:(5-10-15 nf) We visited with Chuck on 5-9-15 and he reported that he is now on dialysis and has been for a couple of weeks. He is feeling much better and that was evident in our conversation. Doing the dialysis at home has made a big difference. Continue to keep Chuck in your prayers, it works.

Jerry Williams:(5-9-15 nf) Visited with wife Linda by phone and she reported that Jerry was sleeping and that he was tolerating his chemo treatments well except that it made him tired. He still has a long way to go with Chemo. Continue to keep Jerry in your daily prayers.
