Call to Order:  President Steve Rayne called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.

Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance:  M. D. Beale 

Present:  Ashby, Barnard, Beale, Blair, Elkin, Gaines, Headley, Potell, Rayne, St.John, Toth, Walschburger, Zoch 
Absent:     Miller

Call to Order: President Steve Rayne called meeting to order at 9:45 a.m.

Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance:  Chaplain Monty Montgomery 

Minutes of Previous Meeting:
Motion by Ruben Armendariz, 2nd by Nelson Foehner to approve the minutes as printed. Voice Vote. Motion Carried.

Chaplain Monty Montgomery:
Revealed the Houston Police Chaplain Memorial Medallion honoring all Fallen, Active and Retired Houston Police Officers. [More]

Family Assistance Update
August 2016

Janette Yanchak: UPDATE (8-24-16 rh) - Nelson Zoch spoke to Gene yesterday (Tuesday) and they were still in Florida at a rehab center for Jeanette.  Gene indicated that the plan now was to begin the journey back to Texas on Wednesday, a 12 hour run.  She has an appointment for further care here later in the week. Please keep Jeanette and her family in your prayers  (8-21-16 nf) Gene reports that while on vacation in Destin, Florida, that Janette fell and broke her hip and shoulder last Sunday, 8-14-16.  She underwent surgery to repair the hip but shoulder did not require surgery. Wilfred Navarro:  (7-31-16 nf) We just visited with Wilfred's daughter, Ledette, by phone and she reported that he was in critical but stable condition on a ventilator in ICU at Memorial Hermann Heights Hospital. Wilfred is obviously fighting to stay alive so we need to send our prayers up for him, his doctors and all caregivers.  (7-18-2016) Information fron Levett Navarro(Son), Wilfred is in  Memorial NW hospital on Ella Blvd.he is on a ventilator and is heavily sedated.
